As a registered nurse and longtime community volunteer, Liza is committed to ensuring schools are safe, welcoming, and focused on the success of every student. She believes investing in strong elementary schools, supporting excellent teachers, and partnering with families creates confident learners who are prepared for middle school, high school, and beyond.
Liza believes every child deserves a strong educational foundation in a safe, supportive, and academically challenging environment. She supports high expectations for student achievement, strong reading and math instruction, and classrooms where teachers have the tools they need to help every child succeed.
She believes parents are essential partners in their children’s education and values open communication, transparency, and meaningful family involvement. Liza supports expanding opportunities in STEM, science, art, music, technology, physical education, and hands-on learning that spark curiosity and help students discover their strengths.
Liza also believes elementary schools should introduce students to the wide variety of careers and opportunities available in their future, including Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways such as agriculture, healthcare, engineering, construction, welding, and technology. Building awareness early helps students connect classroom learning to real-world possibilities and inspires them to dream big.
